AIKOnet is built on a three-pillar architecture that enables capturing, managing, and transmitting information from the field to the cloud.

01. In the Field — Client Radios

Client radios connect directly with sensors and industrial equipment through standard protocols:

— 4-20 mA · RS-232 · RS-485 · CAN · I/O

The devices can automatically adapt to connect to the best available base station and establish node-to-node (P2P) communication, optimizing bandwidth usage.

The established communication is full duplex, allowing the equipment to be configured remotely when necessary.

02. Edge — Base Stations

03. Internet Output

AIKOnet can connect to the Internet using different infrastructure options:

Active Dynamic Roaming

AIKOnet incorporates active dynamic roaming specifically designed for mobile assets.

Continuous Scanning

Client radios constantly scan the radio spectrum in real time, even while the asset is in motion.

Seamless Handover

When a base station with a more suitable signal is detected, the system automatically switches to it.

Zero Disruptions

The switch between base stations occurs seamlessly, maintaining data flow and equipment control without operational outages.

SYNC: Deterministic, Collision-Free Communication

A network designed to deliver data

AIKOnet uses Synchronized Network Communication (SYNC), a TDMA-based protocol that organizes device transmissions to prevent collisions and interference.

Unlike systems based on random transmission, SYNC enables controlled and deterministic communication.

Full Duplex

Simultaneous transmission and reception for applications requiring telemetry, remote control, and OTA updates.

Datalogging & Handshake

Devices can log data during a communication outage and store it for extended periods.

Once connection is restored, data is transmitted following a secure confirmation handshake, preventing information loss.

LIFO Priority

Upon restoring communication, AIKOnet prioritizes the most recent data to quickly update SCADA/HMI systems and regain current operational visibility.

Adaptive Radio Frequency

One radio. Three modulations. Maximum flexibility.

AIKOnet uses a combination of GFSK, FLRC, and LoRa, dynamically selecting the most suitable transmission technology according to link conditions.

GFSK — up to 10 km

High speed, with up to 300 Kbps, for networks with high data density.

FLRC — up to 30 km

A balance between speed and coverage for regional-range applications.

LoRa SF7 — up to 70 km

Greater penetration and reach for operations with complex topographies.

LoRa SF9+ — 90+ km

Designed for remote infrastructure and applications requiring ultra-long range.

The system performs dynamic auto-tuning, alternating between GFSK, FLRC, and different LoRa levels (SF7–SF12) to find the optimal link based on distance and communication conditions.
